I wrote an article in the January issue on the topic of modular imaging and Lion. If you want to learn more about the concepts behind modular imaging or even “thin imaging”, you can for free. All you need is an iPad and the free MacTech app for iPad.

In the January 2012 issue, I focus on using Apple’s System Image Utility to create your modular Lion image. If you’ve tried to build a modular image in the past, and perhaps have been confused by tools like InstaDMG, this article might serve as a more gentle introduction to the topic.
